I’m Chelsea.

I’m a 20-year-old mother to the most amazing three-year-old daughter in the world. She is making me better everyday.

Some would categorize me as a single mom, but, excepting a few situations, I don’t really believe in that term. I may be the sole parent in my daughter’s life, but I am certainly not raising her alone. My incredible boyfriend is a wonderful influence in her life and I believe God has an amazing future in the works for us as a family. My parents are also major influences in my daughter’s life, always willing to take care of her and allowing her to turn their home into a jungle gym of toys. And I have also been blessed with the most incredible friends who never miss an opportunity to babysit or just spend time with us.

I am now completing my last semester of undergraduate studies and interning with a local magazine. It has been quite the journey, but I managed to graduate high school shortly after having my baby, and somehow to cram in all of my college courses into three years. I am nervous and excited to be graduating in the spring with an English degree, and anxious to see what in the world I’m going to do with it.

Aside from that, I am also a dancer and fitness freak. I dance at Todd Rosenlieb’s studio and do Crossfit at Wellness One/Crossfit Great Bridge. In my free time, I like to watch AMC shows with my boyfriend, take my daughter on local adventures, and – if there’s still a moment left to breathe – read. Follow me on twitter and Facebook!

Oh, and visit me at my other blog, The Unlimited Mom, where I blog about everything from politics to parenting.

  1. I got my English degree 🙂 I managed to wander out in the world and land a job as a content writer for a marketing agency.
Glad to see you’re enjoying the grain-free lifestyle! I have so much fun coming up with new recipes that fit into paleo. Now if only I could afford to get myself into some crossfit classes 🙂

    • That’s awesome! I’m crossing my fingers I can wander out and find someone who’ll hire me too!
I will definitely check out what kinds of cool Paleo recipes you have. I love coming across new food ideas.
Also, yeah, I understand the cost problem with Crossfit. I just think of it as avoiding a hospital bill and then it doesn’t seem so expensive 🙂

  2. go you! 🙂
p.s., I was an English major, too. What can I say? we’re way cool 😉
